At Canterbury Crown Court on Thursday 13 July, Janet Nunn, 58, of Nelson Terrace Alberta Close, Dover pleaded guilty to four charges of False Accounting, for Housing and Council Tax Benefit purposes.
These offences were carried out over a period of 12 years and involved a total of £43,000 in Housing and Council Tax Benefit being fraudulently obtained. Mrs Nunn worked full time whilst claiming benefit in another name.
She was sentenced to a total of 53 weeks imprisonment suspended for 2 years, ordered to carry out 120 hours unpaid work in the community over the next 12 months, and is subject of a Supervision Order.
