Local businesses, District councillors and representatives from the Valuation Office Agency are meeting in Dover next week to discuss business rates in Dover.
Organised by Dover Town Centre Management, local business leaders will have the opportunity of getting their voice heard over this important issue.
Adrian Baiby from the Valuation Office Agency will give an informal presentation followed by questions. Cllr Stephen Manion will also be present.
David Somers, Dover Town Centre Management's co-ordinator said: "It is vital for businesses to attend so that their voice is heard. Rates, taxation and bureaucracy are keys challenges for every business and in some cases can make or break a small business. Dover based businesses work in a fragile and difficult climate where margins are low so it is crucial that local businesses get a fair deal."
The meeting will be held on Thursday 5 April at 9.30am at McDonald's restaurant, Biggin Street, Dover.
Any business who has an interest in rates are invited to attend.
