Dover Harbour Board confirms a man killed in an accident at the port's Eastern Docks ferry terminal this morning was employed by an outside contractor.
He was engaged in a fendering repair contract when the accident happened.
The Board has informed the Health and Safety Executive and an investigation has started.
The Board wishes to express its condolences to the man's family.
