Dover and Deal Conservative Association are pleased to announce that they have selected Charlie Elphicke as their Parliamentary Candidate for the next election. Charlie, a sailing enthusiast, lives at Sandwich with his wife and two children.
The Chairman of the Association Roger Frayne said: "We were very pleased to have such a wide range of able candidates wanting to become our next Conservative MP. Charlie has a proven track record of political experience and knows our constituency well."
Charlie said: "I live locally, so I couldn't be more delighted to be selected to fight to be the Conservative Member of Parliament at the next election. I'm in politics because I care passionately about opportunity and prosperity. Here in Dover & Deal there is so much positive work being done to deliver economic development and regeneration. I want to get elected to complement this work at the national level.
I will be campaigning on the issues that really matter to people - like getting more police on the streets and on our borders, stopping the cuts to our local NHS and seeing how we can make taxes fairer. Everyone deserves to get the most from their hard work, to get the best for their families and for this community."
