Enjoy White Cliffs Country all year round - from the historic towns of Dover, Deal and Sandwich to the surrounding villages and rural areas or the iconic world famous White Cliffs. That's the message in the new tourism campaign for White Cliffs Country 2007, which was launched at a special event held today (18 January) at the Pines Calyx, at the Pines Gardens in St Margaret's Bay.

An exciting new-look Visitor Guide has been fully updated with latest photographs showcasing the area. The new pocket-sized Guide is perfect for keeping handy for trips and is packed with information on great days out and places to stay in White Cliffs Country. The Guide is part of a fully integrated marketing campaign, which is underpinned by a national media and a targeted direct mail campaign.

Cllr Frederick Scales, Dover District Council Cabinet Member for Economy and Special Projects, said: "White Cliffs Country has a wonderful range of attractions and places to stay for everyone, and we are proud to promote a warm welcome for visitors to Dover, Deal, Sandwich and the surrounding rural areas. Tourism plays an important part in the local economy and this campaign is a great example of effective partnership working between the Council and the industry, promoting White Cliffs Country as a great place to visit."
