Police are trying to trace a woman who came to the rescue of a 16-year-old girl who was being assaulted in London Road, Dover on Monday 7 April.
Between 3.30 pm and 4.00 pm the girl was walking along London Road towards Cherry Tree Avenue when she was approached by a man who was abusive and threatened her.
A woman then approached the girl to ask if she was OK and the offender left.
The offender is described as black, taller than 5ft 5in, older than 35, of average build with short black dreadlocks. He was wearing a blue top and pink tracksuit bottoms. He had a bike with him and was carrying Somerfield carrier bags.
The woman who helped, and anyone who may have seen the incident, is asked to contact PC Paul Tutthill on 01304 240055.
