Battle Of The Bands

A Battle of the Bands contest is looking to strike the right chord as part of the street party on Dover Seafront on Sunday 24 August to celebrate the Olympic handover from Beijing to London.

Any bands wishing to take part need to register before the event, and registration forms can be picked up from the Dover Town Council offices, or downloaded from the Dover District Council website from 28 July. There are a limited number of performance slots available, which will be allocated on a first come first served basis. Registration will close on 18 August. Rules and regulations will be available with the application forms.

Handover celebrations on Dover seafront on 24 August feature a massive range of entertainment for the whole family. This special event for the local area is being organised by Dover District Council in close cooperation with Dover Town Council, to mark the official launch of the four year build up to the London Olympic Games in 2012.
