Police are appealing for information and witnesses about a robbery in Dover at 5.40 pm on Sunday 8 June.
A 46-year-old woman was walking towards the town centre along Barton Path (just off Cherry Tree Avenue) behind Barton School when she was approached from behind by two men.
Something sharp was held against her neck while one of the men looked through her bag and stole her mobile phone. They then ran off towards Cherry Tree Avenue. The woman was left shaken but unhurt.
One of the offenders is described as a white man who spoke with a foreign accent, aged 20 to 28, 5ft 8in tall and was wearing a grey hooded top and grey tracksuit bottoms and trainers. The other man was wearing a dark hooded top.
Police would like to hear from anyone who may have been in the Londis store or near the chip shop in Cherry Tree Avenue who saw the two men wearing hoodies. This might have looked strange as the weather on Sunday was hot and sunny.
Chief Inspector Tony Kofkin said: "Officers from the crime unit are following all enquiries and doing everything possible to bring these offenders to justice. In the meantime anyone who witnessed the incident or has any information about the offenders is asked to contact Detective Constable Heather Moore on 01304 240055.
"If you want you anonymity guaranteed, contact Kent Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
