Feel Alive is back for 2010 and all the family is invited to come along and join in the fun with a fantastic range of free activities - with events kicking off this year on Sunday 6 June at Victoria Park in Deal from 10am to 4pm.
The event at Victoria Park will include archery, tennis, trampolining, gymnastics, football, the Revolutions Skate Team and a bike trial display team, as well as a sports hall version of curling, bowling, seated exercise, a Play Zone for the under 5s, and the chance to try your hand at a whole range of fun activities and sports.
Other Feel Alive events this year take place on Saturday 24 July at Pencester Gardens in Dover, and on Sunday 15 August at Fowlmead Country Park. All events run from 10am to 4pm, and there will the chance to try different sports at each event.
The events are co-ordinated with the input of 'Active Dover', the district's Community Sports Network, and are jointly funded by the Town, District and County Councils working together with local leisure providers.
DDC's Sports Development Officer Sarah Philpott said: "Feel Alive is all about raising awareness of where sport and recreational activities take place locally and encouraging people of all ages and abilities to 'have-a-go' and stay healthy by getting involved."
