Feel Alive is back for 2010 and local sports clubs are being called for the final time to sign up and get involved! Last year, more than 8,000 people took part in over 60 sports and fun activities at the three free events held across the district, with activities ranging from sailing to rowing, archery to walking, and trampolining to skate boarding.
This year the events will take place on Sunday 6 June in Deal's Victoria Park, Saturday 24 July in Dover's Pencester Gardens, and Sunday 15 August at Fowlmead Country Park, situated between Deal and Sandwich.
Dover District Council's Sports Development Officer, Sarah Philpott said: "Feel Alive is all about raising awareness of where sporting and recreational activities take place locally and encouraging people of all ages and abilities to have a go and stay healthy by getting involved. Sports clubs and health-related organisations can participate by organising mini taster sessions or show-casing what they have to offer."
The events are co-ordinated with the input of 'Active Dover', a group of partners working together to develop and promote sport and active recreation in the district.
