Steve Atmore, Head of Cruise Operations at Dover Cruise Port has welcomed the Master of the Dawn Princess, Captain Todd McBain from Vancouver on the ship's inaugural call to the Port of Dover. The ceremony took place on Sunday (17 July 2011) after the Dawn Princess arrived at Dover having completed its 2011 World Cruise which had visited destinations including the Far East, Dubai, Egypt and Morocco.
The Dawn Princess can welcome up to 1,970 guests, offering passengers a wide variety of facilities including two show lounges, restaurants and cafés, a spa and a multi-million dollar art collection. The covered promenade deck allowed passengers to view Dover Castle and the white cliffs in all weather.
