Community groups in the area are reminded that time is running out to apply to the Dover District Neighbourhood Forums for grant funding of up to £2,500 for help with projects that can show benefit to the local community.
Dover District Council and Kent County Council have again allocated funding to the Neighbourhood Forums to award capital grants to local projects. Successful projects last year included upgrading community facilities, replacing fencing, and providing a tennis ball machine, a pony seesaw, security lighting and new public seating.
Kent County Council is administering this Small Community Capital Projects grant fund, and application packs are available from KCC Community Engagement Managers Emma Carey or Anne Charman (Sandwich Area only), or can be downloaded from the DDC website at www.dover.gov.uk/neighbourhoodforums.
The closing date for applications is 30 September 2011 (extended from 9 September).
