Recycling Road Shows

A special road show is out and about across Dover District over the coming weeks making sure residents know all about the new recycling and waste collections.
 
The road show has already visited Stembrook Car Park in Dover on 9 August, the team handed out information at Deal Carnival on 28 July, and the road show will also be at the following locations:

18 August - Tesco, Whitfield from 10am to 3pm
25 August - Tesco, Whitfield from 10am to 3pm
30 August - Co-Op, Sandwich from 10am to 3pm
6 September - Capel Farmers' Market from 10am to 12.30pm
27 September - Sainsbury's, Deal from 10am to 3pm

Other dates may be added subject to confirmation. The road shows are just one way that Dover District Council is getting the message across, as part of a wider communications campaign, funded by the Waste Resources Action Programme.

Cllr Nicholas Kenton, DDC Cabinet Member for Environment, Waste and Planning said: "The road shows are another example of how we are communicating to make sure residents receive full information on the new service. These important changes mean we will be able to recycle significantly more, save resources, and work together even more effectively to protect the environment for the future."
