Local authors Paul Wells and Jeff Howe will be launching their new book about Dover on Saturday, November 24 in Dover Museum education room, between 11:00 and 3:00.
'Dover Then and Now' will be Paul and Jeff's second book from The History Press; their first, 'Dover Past and Present', was launched to much enthusiasm back in 2009.
The new book will feature a unique set of black and white photos of a Dover long forgotten in addition to modern day photos showing how the area has changed over the last century, with comprehensive text, all bound within a hard cover.
If you're interested in the history of Dover and particularly the Castle and Western heights, then you may recognise Paul and Jeff. Jeff was a founding member of the Western Heights Preservation Society and Paul is responsible for organising the Open Days which are held at the Drop Redoubt fort twice yearly, which have been proved to be very successful.
'Dover Then and Now' retails at £12.99 in the shops, but advance copies will be available for purchase at a reduced rate of £10.99 at the launch.
