As part of the annual budget review, Dover District Council has looked at car parking charges across the district - and a range of charges, including price freezes for the year ahead, were approved by Cabinet on Monday (6 February 2012).
Decisions from Cabinet include that charges at the two most used car parks in the district (Stembrook in Dover and Middle Street in Deal) have been frozen, charges at the three lower rate car parks in the district (Gazen Salts in Sandwich, Union Road in Deal and Albany Place in Dover) also remain the same, on-street charges remain the same except on Dover Seafront and Beach Street, Deal where rates reflect that in adjacent car parks, and DDC will continue to operate a number of free car parks across the district.
