The Chairman of Dover District Council is arranging a Community Tea Party for local residents to come together to celebrate the Queen's Diamond Jubilee, and to share their memories of the Queen ascending to the throne and of the Coronation.
The community event is for invited guests only, and is being held at Dover Town Hall on Thursday 10 May. The Chairman of Dover District Council, Cllr Sue Nicholas has invited Town and Parish Councils to select members of the community who wish to come along and share their memories of the time. There will be a range of entertainment, including St Edmund's School performers, and students from K College will be making a special Diamond Jubilee cake.
