Dover Harbour Board (DHB) has today announced that it has submitted, to the Secretary of State for Transport, an enhanced proposal of its privatisation scheme originally published in January 2010.
Copies of the scheme will be available on the Port's website at www.doverport.co.uk or can be seen at the offices of the Board at Harbour House in Dover.
Following the submission, a 42-day representation period on the detail of the scheme will start and any person who wishes to make representation to the Secretary of State should do so in writing (addressed to the Secretary of State, Maritime Commerce & Infrastructure Division, Department of Transport, Zone 2/29, 33 Horseferry Road, London, SW1P 4DR or by email to Ports@dft.gsi.gov.uk) and copied to Sharon Higenbottam, Company Secretary, Dover Harbour Board (DHB, Marine Parade, Dover, Kent, CT17 9BU). The representations should be made by 27 July 2012. The responses may be shared or made public.
A public consultation brochure outlining the enhancements to the scheme will also be distributed to all households and businesses within the Dover District community in early July.
