Of the money awarded £3,000 was granted to support DAD's project to clean and dress the underpass between the town centre and the seafront in time for the Olympic torch celebrations.
£250 was given to support the 'How Does Your Garden Grow' project, an initiative to brighten up the seafront by planting amongst the shingle along Dover's esplanade.
The cheque was received by Joanna Jones and Clare Smith of Dover Arts Development.
