An event to help people find out about volunteering is being held at Dover Discovery Centre on Tuesday 4 June from 10am to 1pm.
The event is being organised by Dover Gateway as part of Volunteering Week, to promote volunteering and encourage awareness of opportunities. This includes looking at how you can get involved in your community, and how volunteering can help people to develop new talents and self confidence, and even gain new skills for employment.
A range of partners will be on hand with advice and information, including Disability Drop in Centre, Health Trainers, Kent Supported Employment, and TBG Learning.
Dover Gateway is located on Castle Street, Dover. Kent County Council and Dover District Council joined up to launch the Gateway office, providing increased services for residents, including a whole range of voluntary and community support services.
