As part of a scheme to regenerate and improve the River Dour, local artist and researcher Anita Luckett has been working with Dover Town Council to install information panels along the river's path.
The panels offer a fascinating insight into bygone Dover and will inform both visitors and residents of the industries that worked along the river and the wildlife that lives there. There are five panels in total and the last in the series was placed at Charlton Green this week.
The Mayor, Cllr Mrs Anne Smith said: "The River Dour holds a special place for those that live in Dover and it is an important asset to the town. These new panels will help inform people of some of Dover's forgotten history; they have been beautifully made and make a welcome addition to the Dour".
