What can Dover Gateway do for you? Partners are inviting you to come along to Dover Discovery Centre from 10am to 1pm on Tuesday 14 May, or Deal Library from 10am to 1.30pm on Thursday 9 May to find out more about how Gateway can help you.
Partners are holding 'Know Your Services' events for residents to find out what services are available. A range of events has been arranged to keep people informed following benefit changes, and Gateway is working hard to let people know what help is available to support them in their communities.
There will be different groups at the events at Dover Discovery Centre and Deal Library, providing information and guidance about their services and when they are available in the Gateway. This will include Circle Support, Disability Drop In Centre, DDC Energy Awareness, Health Trainers, Kent Supported Employment, and Pathways to Wellbeing. Adult Education will also be attending the event in Dover, and there will be the chance to find out about apprenticeships with Kent Community Learning and Skills.
Kent County Council and Dover District Council joined up to open the Gateway office in Dover, which provided increased services for residents, including a range of voluntary and community support services. The Gateway opened in 2010 and has successfully engaged with local businesses, charities and voluntary organisations to ensure that the services it offers are relevant to residents' needs, and it is constantly evolving.
Dover Gateway is located in Castle Street, Dover, and the Discovery Centre is at the Market Square.
