Residents from Aycliffe and Buckland who are interested in the future of their play areas are being invited by Dover District Council to get involved.
The play area off St David's Avenue in Aycliffe and off Colton Crescent in Buckland each serve around 500 households, and the Council is seeking enthusiastic residents to come forward and assist to explore options for future provision.
Cllr Sue Chandler, DDC Cabinet Member for Housing and Community explains: "There are funding opportunities available to resident-led groups that are not available to local authorities. If local residents can come together and apply for funds this would support future provision."
The Council will be posting surveys to households in Aycliffe and Buckland to gather residents' views and support, as well as promoting the survey via local schools and nurseries. The surveys are also available on the DDC website until 11 November.
Community Engagement Officer Sarah Philpott will be available to speak to residents on site at Colton Crescent on Thursday 24 October from 3pm-5pm and Wednesday 30 October from noon-2pm, and also at Aycliffe Post Office on Tuesday 5 November from 3pm-5pm and Friday 8 November from 2pm-4pm.
