Port connects with free WiFi

Monday, 15 July 2013
The Port of Dover has gone live with its new free WiFi service for ferry customers at the Eastern Docks. Europe's busiest international ferry port has already seen almost 4,000 WiFi accounts created, a clear reflection of the value of the service to customers whilst in the Port.

Tim Waggott, Chief Executive, Port of Dover, said: "This is a clear and tangible example of how the Port is working hard to improve the experience of its customers and to provide the quality of service and level of facilities that everyone using a major international gateway in the 21st century, such as the Port of Dover, should expect."

As a sign of how committed the Port is to ensuring that every aspect of customer service is the best, it is already planning to follow up with all new Port of Dover WiFi customers to see how well the free service is working for them and to find out what further improvements can be made to make the customer experience even better.

Mr Waggott added: "This is the first phase of an exciting project to bring free WiFi to every part of the Port. We are working to bring this important service to our cruise terminals and to our marina later this year, which will benefit even more of our customers as we continue to drive towards becoming the best port in the world."
