Exciting design proposals for improvements to play area facilities at Sheridan Road in Dover will be on show at a community consultation event from 3-5pm on Wednesday 20 March at the Sheridan Road play area - and your views are sought.
This follow-up event is being held on design options for improvements at the play area, and this is your chance to have your say on proposals. The options have been developed following a range of excellent ideas from the community from an event in January, and the improvements are due to be completed for summer 2013. A consultation workshop is also being held at Green Park Primary School to make sure local children also have their say. Consultation is being carried out by Dover District Council with the support of East Kent Housing.
Refurbishment works are also underway at Northbourne Avenue and Elms Vale play areas, and these areas are due to be reopened by Easter 2013, weather permitting. Sheridan Road and Northbourne Avenue play areas have been upgraded to strategic status, and this is part of Dover District Council's commitment to develop strategic play areas across the district.
In the event of rain, the follow-up consultation for the Sheridan Road play area will be moved to the Buckland Community Centre in Roosevelt Road.
