Dover Lifeboat volunteers and a crew from Kent Fire & Rescue's Dover Fire Station will come together this Saturday to mark the RNLI's national fundraising SOS Day.
With the help and support of Asda in the town, the two teams will be providing a car washing service for shoppers in the supermarket's car park.
Dover Lifeboat Coxswain Mark Finnis said: "This a great example of the emergency services in Dover coming together to raise money for the Royal National Lifeboat Institution & the Firefighters Charity and after all the snowy weather of the last week I suspect our crew members will be rather busy with their sponges!"
Shoppers will be able to take advantage of the car washing offer this Saturday the 26th January in Asda's Dover car park between 9am and 4pm with £5 being the minimum donation required.
