Town Team evening raises more than a smile

The Refectory at Dover College was in full swing last Friday evening as Dover Town Team staged an American Supper type evening in front of an enthusiastic crowd.

David Little of Dover Town Team opened the evening by saying "There are three objectives tonight: raising the profile of the Town Team, raising money, and having a good time!"

Top of the bill was local band Cocos Lovers who's latest CD Gold or Dust was recently released. They were supported by the inimitable Mighty Cowpats and The Eythorne Silver Band, a collection of youth and experience.

120 people attended the event and a total of £700 was raised through ticket sales and the raffle, which will be invested in the regeneration of the town.

The Town Team would like to extend their thanks to everybody who supported the evening and to Dover College for offering their use of the wonderful facility.
