Detectives in Dover are appealing for information after a report of an attempted sexual assault.
The incident occurred at approximately 1:10am on the morning of 26 December. A 19 year-old girl reported that she had left a party and was on Templar Street in Dover when she was approached from behind by three men, who attempted to sexually assault her, but ran off when the victim's mobile telephone rang.
Police are now appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident, or who has any information, to make contact.
Detective Sergeant Michelle Burgess said: "The festive season is a busy time for socialising and we would ask people to remember to take measures to stay safe; make sure you look out for your friends, stay in groups, make sure you don't get separated and keep to well-lit areas if walking home. Fortunately the victim was physically unharmed, but we would appeal for anyone with any information to make contact with us."
