An event is being held at the Dover District Council offices in Whitfield on Thursday 6 November from 6pm to 8.30pm for anyone interested in finding out more about becoming a Dover District Councillor.
The next Dover District Council elections will be held on 7 May 2015 when 45 District Council seats will be contested. The Prospective Councillor Evening is being organised by the Democratic Support team and will explain the process involved in standing for election, as well as what the Council does and what life as a District Councillor is really like.
Councillors come from all walks of life, age groups and backgrounds, and play a key role in shaping the future of their local communities. You do not need to be a member of a political party.
