Witnesses sought after man abused and spat at in Dover

Kent Police is appealing for witnesses to come forward after a man was spat at in Dover whilst walking home.

The man, in his 40s, was walking along the footpath near to the Dover and District Working Mens Club in London Road just before 8pm on Friday (21 March 2014).

He was approached by a group of two males and two females on the footpath who began to verbally abuse him. Then, without warning, one of the males spat beer at the man. The second male also spat at the victim.

They continued to verbally abuse the man as he walked away.

The first male is described as white, approximately 5ft 4ins tall, with dark hair and in his late teens and was wearing a blue top and black trousers. The second male is described as white, approximately 5ft 3ins tall, also aged in his late teens, and was wearing a grey hooded top and grey tracksuit trousers.

One of the females in the group had light coloured hair and was wearing a red top with a white handbag over her shoulder.
