Dover District Council's Cabinet has agreed a recommendation to freeze parking charges across the district for the next financial year - the decision will cap charges at existing levels for the year ahead for all the Council's on and off-street parking.
Cllr Nigel Collor, DDC Cabinet Member for Access and Property Management, said: "We are very pleased to confirm that Cabinet has agreed to freeze parking charges in the district for 2015/16. This will be the third year running that on and off-street charges have been frozen.
"DDC continues to not charge on Sundays in the majority of our car parks, and we have a number of free car parks. We are also keeping the charging period from 9am-5pm, and maintain the 'Ringo' parking scheme, allowing people to pay from their mobiles. Parking charges in Dover District remain amongst the lowest in East Kent."
