Dover District Council has confirmed that the Energy Deal scheme is back - round five of the popular collective switching campaign, which aims to help residents looking to reduce their gas and electricity bills, was launched on 4 August.
Residents can register to take part in the latest round of the scheme before the next energy supplier auction on 13 October. This gives people plenty of time to register before the autumn deadline, and before the winter heating bills start coming in. Based on the last round of Energy Deal, residents who register in the Dover District could make an average saving of £188.94 per year.
DDC is working in partnership with Dartford, Gravesham, Tonbridge & Malling and Tunbridge Wells councils to operate the Energy Deal scheme. Grouping together offers a straightforward solution for residents to find out if they can get a better deal and benefit by saving money on their home energy bills.
Cllr Nicholas Kenton, DDC Cabinet Member for Environment said: "We are delighted to continue to support this collective switching scheme, which has already proved to be a success for many of our residents."
