Everyone is invited to come along to the Kearsney Parks Farm and Forest Day in Russell Gardens from 10am to 4pm on Friday 7 August, to get involved in a free fun packed family day, and find out more about the Parks for People project.
There will be a range of activities on the day including farmers' market stalls, the chance to meet a local farmer and her sheep, a forest school, a bunting workshop, tractors, model boating, and the opportunity to try out a tree trail.
You will also be able to chat to representatives from Dover District Council about the Parks for People project, and tell them what you love about the Kearsney Parks.
You can drop in to the event at any time but parking is limited so visitors are encouraged to walk, cycle or use public transport if they can.
The event is one of a series of free events being organised across the area as part of the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) funded Up on the Downs Big Summer Festival. For more information on the festival, see www.uponthedowns.org.uk.
The Kearsney Parks project is being funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund and Big Lottery Fund Parks for People programme. For more information on the project visit www.kearsneyparks.co.uk.
