Dover District Council has launched a spring special price for the collection of large waste items - and throughout April, bulky collections of up to 5 items will cost £10.
In the last financial year, bulky waste collections cost £31 for up to 5 items, and for the rest of the year the price has been set at £29.95. However, collections booked in April will be charged at the special price of £10 for 5 items, with a charge of £6 for each additional item.
Each individual piece of bulky waste collected is classed as an item. Each item must be less than 2 metres in length and able to be lifted safely by two people. Items we can collect include beds and mattresses, items of furniture, carpets, televisions, cookers and refrigerators.
