As part of ongoing work to provide help and support to local communities, Dover District Council has agreed support of more than £120,000 for the Dover, Deal and District Citizens' Advice Bureau for 2016/17.

The Council has agreed support of £120,500 for the CAB for the fifth year running, with a £97,000 grant, £20,000 as rental concessions for offices in Dover and Deal, and £3,500 for property service charges.

Dover, Deal and District Citizens' Advice Bureau is an independent local charity which provides free information and advice to everyone who needs it. The service is free, independent, confidential and impartial.

Cllr Keith Morris, DDC Cabinet Member for Skills, Training, Tourism, Voluntary Services & Community Safety said: "This Council does everything it reasonably can to support the voluntary sector, and that is why, in these increasingly challenging times, we are very pleased to support the Citizens' Advice Bureau again this year, and to continue to help them in their great work in our local communities."
