A man from Dover was sentenced at Folkestone Magistrates' Court on 17 February 2016 after pleading guilty to drink driving.
On 24 December 2015 Adam Wetherell, 22, of The Linces, Dover, drove a Volkswagen Passat in Sandwich Road, Dover, and gave a breath test of 102 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35 microgrammes.
Magistrates banned Wetherell from driving for 24 months and ordered him to carry out 150 hours of unpaid work in the next 12 months. He must also pay £85 costs and a £60 victim surcharge.
Disqualification can be reduced by six months if, by 1 June 2017, he satisfactorily completes a course approved by the Secretary of State, the cost of which will not exceed £250.
