Marek Balog was sentenced on 23 November 2016 at Folkestone Magistrates’ Court. He pleaded guilty to drink driving.
On 6 October 2016 the 26-year-old, of East Cliff, Dover, drove a Skoda Octavia in Winchelsea Road, Dover, and gave a breath test of 66 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35 microgrammes.
Magistrates banned Balog from driving for 20 months. He must also pay a £120 fine, £85 costs and a £30 victim surcharge.
Disqualification can be reduced by 150 days if, by 8 December 2017, he satisfactorily completes a course approved by the Secretary of State, the cost of which will not exceed £250.
Steven Bull was sentenced on 30 November 2016 at Folkestone Magistrates’ Court. He pleaded guilty to shoplifting.
On 6 November 2016 the 41-year-old, of no fixed address, stole two electric shavers worth £328 from a shop in Biggin Street, Dover.
Magistrates sentenced Bull to 56 days in prison, suspended for 12 months. He must also pay £328 compensation, £85 costs and a £115 victim surcharge.
Peter John Hathaway was sentenced on 30 November 2016 at Folkestone Magistrates’ Court. He pleaded guilty to drink driving.
On 11 November 2016 the 72-year-old, of The Grove, Dover, drove a Vauxhall Astra in Coombe Valley Road, Dover, and gave a breath test of 106 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35 microgrammes.
Magistrates banned Hathaway from driving for 28 months. He must also pay a £400 fine, £85 costs and a £40 victim surcharge.
Disqualification can be reduced by 212 days if, by 29 June 2018, he satisfactorily completes a course approved by the Secretary of State, the cost of which will not exceed £250.
