28-year-old Roxzann Jeffries of Forelands Square, Deal was arrested by officers from Dover’s Local District Policing Team and a special constable in Granville Street, Dover on Wednesday (1 February 2017). She was subsequently charged with three burglaries and four thefts from shops.
Jeffries was remanded in police custody and will appear by video link before Medway Magistrates' Court today.
Kent Police received three reports of distraction burglaries during January:
- A burglary in George Street, Dover, reported to have taken place between 8.20pm and 8.45pm on Tuesday 24 January.
- A burglary in Foord Road, Folkestone, reported to have taken place between 8.15pm and 8.45pm on Wednesday 25 January.
- A burglary in Telegraph Road, Deal at around 9pm on Sunday 29 January.
