As part of their work to continue to involve local communities in shaping the future of the area, Dover District Council is updating a key document setting out how people can get involved in the planning process, and your views are sought.
A consultation on their draft Statement of Community Involvement (SCI) launches today (24 May 2018), and runs for six weeks until 5 July. The updated document can be seen on the DDC website, and paper copies are available in DDC offices and at local libraries.
The draft SCI sets out how you can keep informed and have your say on decisions about plan-making and planning applications. This updates the previous SCI, which was adopted in 2016.
Cllr James Back, DDC Cabinet Member for Built Environment, said: "DDC is committed to involving local communities and all our partners in planning for the future so they can help shape the environment in our district. This important document sets out how we continue to take this forward, and we hope people will take this chance to have their say on our updated SCI."
