Local Covid-19 initiative reinstated

Friday, 6 November 2020
Together4Dover is reinstating their successful helpline service on Monday 9th November to help local Dover people during the national second lockdown with their essential shopping requirements.

The essential shopping service is available to those that do not have any friends or family to help. Fulfilled within 48 hours, the shopping must be paid for by the resident upon delivery using PayPal or cash with the following areas being served: Dover town centre, Whitfield, River, Kearsney, Guston, Hougham, Eythorne, Elvington and Alkham.

Also on offer is help from Harmony Holistic Therapy trained therapists. They offer help with some of the consequences of Covid-19 affecting people, such as anxiety, stress, sleeplessness, gaining weight, feeling of abandonment and loss.

A watchful eye is being kept to see if other services previously offered will be needed again, depending on volunteer levels.

After the last lockdown period, Together4Dover has been highly commended and thanked by local dignitaries including the Lord Lieutenant of Kent, the High Sheriff of Kent, heads of KCC and DDC and Dover Stand up to Racism/Christians Together in Dover.

The Together4Dover helpline number is 01304 892 519, operating from 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday. For those who cannot use the phone, email help@together4dover.org.uk
