  Think you`re right Vic, and that`s Flashman`s on the corner. The crossing will be where the colour light one is at present linking with Dicken`s Corner..

  Doesn't look quite right as I was thinking Flashmans but the curving fascade with the pillars doesn't look quite right ?

  #24 Looks like Buckland avenue, the shop being opposite to where that bakery shop is today in Lorne road. If not, it maybe Cherry Tree Avenue, and that road on the right being Balfour road. There was a boot repair shop there before the war.

  Vic, you`re right mate, and it`s between the two places I suggested rather than the actual place. the terraced houses curving round are the clue, which I didn`t take note of, opposite being the steep hill to Heathfield Avenue.
