There seems to be quite a lot of interest in seeing Badgers in their natural environment from you guys.
Would any one like to go and have a look?
I'm quite willing to take any one along for a peek.

Way before the hot water bottle time Howie, I also have to say I have shot all of the bogeymen and they no longer exist.
Take your spy to the post and shoot him ( or her ) that is not the location.
If you have 1 hour in the evening to see this then tell me, I will pick you up from home and take you home.
No funnies here Sid I'm seriouse.
I do feel for those who do not get to know the country side as well as I do.
Don't worry I'm not going for a polical party in any way.

Fantastic stuff, Ian. I'm fortunate enough to live very close to a badgers sett and get up close quite often. I still find it very distressing to see so many lying dead by the roadside, but the counter side to that is that the increased number killed on the roads is a sign that numbers generally are up; I know that the farmers are deeply suspicious of badgers, believing them to be responsible for the spread of TB in cattle. I don't know enough on the subject to argue one way or the other, but all I do know is that they are delightful creatures that I love deeply. British wildlife is something I never tire of seeing.

If you saw Jays (plural), then that is quite a rare sight, so well done to you. They tend to be very solitary birds, and extremely territorial. Beautiful birds with a very distinctive dipping flight; we have a Jay that lives in the trees behind our house in Guston and is an occasional visitor to our back garden. I've been trying to get a photo of him for yonks, but the little bugger is extremely camera shy!

Thanks for those pics, Ian. The Gordon Buchanan of the Dover Forum!

For one dreadful moment there, Diana, I read that as the Gordon Brown of Dover Forum; I wondered what Ian had done to upset you so much!

You won't upset me Andy, only Sid can do that and sometimes Howie.
Have sent you an e-mail Melissa.
Thanks for the comments guys, I'm trying to get better photos all of the time.
Still trial and error at the mo or trying to find something out of the ordinary.

Thank's Melissa.
I'm sure we will have an interesting evening. with a bit of luck we may even see a barn owl or two and there is a few little owls also. Bring your camera if you have one, I will supply the bino's and the chairs.

Sorry you missed out on Monday evening Melissa, hope your cold is a bit better now.
I took the missus along and she had a great evening, the first time she'd ever seen live Badgers.
Here she is playing peek a boo.
Fields of green And what a cracking sunset again.
