I've noticed ground work has started on the Buckland Mill site. Not much information here
http://www.dover.gov.uk/business__regeneration/regeneration/buckland_mill.aspx
I guess the sudden activity is due to SEEDA closing soon.

Hello again Nathan. Ive made that link live for you. To do it just click the URL box amongst the Smileys and type between the two little boxes and bobs yer uncle.
Yes indeed SEEDA are closing down, so I beleive. Maybe it has indeed spurred something to move forward.

There is work going on at the moment. When you walk along the path by St Andrews church, you can see that Dormer windows have been added to the roof of one of the mill buildings.

Walk down the path by St Andrews this morning.
Work is continuing, you can now see through to London Road (Crabble Hill) where window openings have been cut.

The country's slowest property developer has started work on the part of the mill opposite Hollis Motors.
The new build in picture 14 has had scaffolding over it the top of it for weeks. Presumably the roof leaks?

Seems people are being moved out of the building above due to the still leaking roof.
I can't Gillcrest Homes ever being able to develop the whole site. All the prime town centre building land going to waste

Received a letter in the post this morning about "phase 2".
Proposal of 62 new homes on an empty part of site. If it goes as fast as the current work, I could be dead before they are built!
There's a presentation at St Mary's Parish Centre next Tuesday 4.00-7.30pm

I walk by this development regularly and I've never seen more than 3/4 people on site. Would of thought at a time when house prices are booming in Dovwr that they would want the whole thing done and sold.
It's been going 7 years give or take a year. They going for a record? The new sagrada familia??
