it all so might help if transport portfolio holder to push the bus company for a better service, all so need new bus's on route instead of second hand ones we got now.
its there remit to push the job forward ,not backwards.

Agree don't moan at the driver. The Portfolio Holder should be pushing for new buses .Whilst I'm supposed to be on the bus users forum it would be nice if some times I was able to attend the meetings which the Portfolir Holdef has with the bus company.I have to communicate with them on my own..
I only have one problem with the service which serves River the fact we have to go via St IRadigunds
The Councillors which serve River both District and County were not helpful at all .Perhaps they wear too many hats .

agreed sue,the portfolio for transport needs to push hard for bus's that work around the district.

A chap from Stagecoach bus stop maintenance team was pasting a new bit on the tops of stop signs in Pencester Road earlier so could be worth checking to make sure that your bus hasn't moved to another stop tomorrow.

The use of older buses is an accountancy trick to keep down the attributed costs of operating the routes they are used on, thus making it less likely that they will be reduced further. New buses tend to come along when a major marketing scheme is launched such as when the now-dismantled Diamond network was introduced many moons ago.

Went along Pencester at about 8.15 yesterday morning. Very confused people milling about trying to find the right bus!
In came a 15, it was a single deck Solo choc full. Then in the High Street an almost empty double deck Enviro on the 63. Something not quite right there!

Been on a double decker 63 early morning but a single decker 15 would never be able to handle all the people trying to get to work, school or college at that time.
This morning a double decker 15 was loading up in Pencester Rd about 10. 15 so it might have been a one off yesterday.

15 is scheduled for DDs except for evenings and some early journeys. Perhaps someone underestimated the likely load. No doubt the schools had staff training days hence the rather empty 63.

Still some confusion with the old timetables up at my nearest stop and the new timetables in Priory Street seemingly showing the old times for the Folkestone/Lydd bus. I got there about 11. 15 am and it showed one had left at 11. 07 and the next one would be at 11. 22(same as before). Anyway I thought I would catch that and walk up the hill rather than wait for the 68 at 11. 34. Much to the chagrin of the people waiting the 68 turned up on time and the 101/102 was nowhere to be seen.

Howard, it's been mentioned before that the 100 group is not changing until later in the year, which is why the 'old' timetable is still up!
