Sue,
I did say when the proposals came up that they were a scheduler's dream but a passenger's nightmare! I think Stagecoach's argument will be that if they can't keep costs down, they'll just run fewer buses. The few times I ever got a 15B (I normally use the 12) there were few passengers getting on or off though River but that may have been the time of day (usually early afternoon). One other little change that is not too obvious is that the 15 reduces to every 25 minutes after about 1430, which saves a bus.

I have just received the Temple Ewell news letter;their community puts on some lovely events.when I retired I was pleased to think I could go to some of these 15b has gone even a nightmare to get to the Lydden Bell for lunch.Lew never many people at that time .9.30 for the OAPs Used early morning for the pupils going to Cantebury ,colleges and Universities .When I officially launched the 15b left Pencester about 7.45 am it was packed. Some of my neighbours now have to drive to Canterbury to arrive in time for work .When the DTIZ opens a better bus service will be needed.

It will be interesting to see what (if any) changes are made when the new development opens. At least you've still got a bus to B&Q (and Lidl when it opens - can't be too long now)!

Many people are taking up Charlies request for information re the bus services.Keep them coming in He might need a bus to carry all the complaints.I suggest our traffic guro takes a couple of days riding buses around the district .St Radiginds would be a good start, see the Lorries parked which means the buses have to wait to get through, see how many people alite at the Health Facility ,and also see how unkempt some of the gardens are. It would make a trip to KCC to attend a meeting a doodle.Or would that mean a difficult task seeing what some people have to put up with.
Cllr Jones letter today's Mercury excellent.

You can read it on line Howard.Cllr Jones was writing about the number of HGVs that park on tne roads in her ward.I gather she is not getting much help from Cllr Collor. It is a nightmare at times in Coombe Valley road .I gather speaking to a well know resident the HGVS are banned from Poulten Close and Traffic Wardens Are up there all the time .At least they were off the main road.Cllr Jones states it's a busy area with ambulances etc .

Getting back to the busses,,,,,,,,,,,
The campaign will go on and Charlie and anyone is welcome to join the campaign lobby or even on regular basis talk to stagecoach.
I won't write to Charlie on his facebook or web page as I don't want this used as a political football that he will probably do.
by all means help but no party politics PLEASE

For the first time in my memory the 63 that came along earlier was a double decker, normally a 24 seat single decker. Later in town another 63 came along and it was a full length single decker followed by a 24 seat 90 going to Deal.

There were four of us plus the driver on the double decker and I cannot recall one being used on the route before.

That one was in the 2016 centenary livery - they haven't got round to re-painting it yet! It's normally based at Herne Bay/Canterbury.

The mystery of strange buses on the 63 is down to the fact that if there is a shortage of Solos, it's the only Solo route that can take DDs or large single deckers. Thanks to my sources for that info.
