15:5637680Well after all the postings re toilets ,I thought I would start another topic .Yes CATS ****.I have had my cat for over nine years ,she came from the cat Sanctuary only to live here in Sanctuary Close
I was told the previous owner a very elderly lady was going blind so could not see the cat who is black in colour .The elderly lady and the cat lived together in a flat .Charlie the name of said cat does not like men and runs away at the sight of a man .No jokes here fellows .
Well today I ventured out into my lovely garden spotted a few bulbs coming through and returned in doors .Well I did not take my slipper come shoes off ,yes CAt mess every where ,.
Why do I relay this to you well Charlie the cat rarely goes outtside and never ,never does a poo in the garden .
Yes its someone elses Cat Poo on my carpet .
Not fair is it .
People around here have cats that live outside most of the time.Poor little creatures sit at my window or door crying ."please let me in " .
This is not a shaggy dog tale or a cats tale

16:0437681that must have been a brave cat to have a dump on your premises susan, i bet most of his 9 lives flashed before him while he did it.
in a more serious note, maybe he only did it because nigel had closed down the cats dirt box?

16:2837684If you don't want cats to use your garden as a toilet get a greyhound they can eat a whole one, cats go round our garden.

16:4637689We had a greyhound - loved him to bits - but he was one that was ok with cats - didn't even notice ours!! He used to wind in and out of his long legs and he would just watch him, bewildered!! Love greyhounds!!

17:1337699Ah - a rottweiler, doberman, and viszla makes the garden thoroughly cat-proof! Although our two cats are thoroughly dog-proof too LOL!

17:4737725Be careful Vic, you may have members of the cat protection league who maybe looking who to vote for. You might be better with a picture of you kissing a cat to get a few of the elderly vote`s.

19:2237749We have a lovely cat called Oliver Puddles. He is a long haired tabby and we got him from the cat rescue people. He was only about six weeks old when we got him and had been very ill treated. He does go outside quite a lot which saves us from any other cats using our garden as he is very territorial, perhaps thats the key to keeping your garden free of intruding cats Sue. He also loves his time indoors. He was very jealous of Fifi Trixabell, our Cocker Spaniel when we first brought her home two and a half years ago and it took quite some time for them to bond but now they are very comfortable with each other

19:5437756You are right Colette .In the Summer my cat does follow me into the garden .I do have to keep an eye out for other cats however my cat scares them off usually by hissing .Maybe she has caught the habit from me!!
I have managed to check this before it goes off the screen

20:0037758Funny cat story for you. We have two cats (yes, on top of three dogs), and one of them (called Gloria) is a friendly little black cat that likes having a fuss made of her. But she has a wild dark side too - she is one of those cats that loves to kill thing; small rodents, slow worms, birds, frogs and toads, whatever she can dig her claws into and rip to pieces.
One day we were having a new washing machine delivered. The delivery men dutifully lifted the new machine into the house, but in order to get it through the living room into the kitchen I had to move the sofa. So I moved it. The delivery men both had a sudden look of terror on their faces, and I went cold. There, hidden under the sofa, was a whole morbid collection of murdered and hidden corpses. Mice, frogs, worms, and goodness knows what else. All I could say was, "Bloody cat!"
Anyway I now call the cute little kitty Fred West for her bad habit of slaughtering little innocent lives and hiding the remains in a domestic dwelling. I know, it's bad taste, but hey.

20:0437761that sounds like my one, friendly , loves human contact but with a psychotic side.
first manifested when she was my neighbours cat(kitten), sitting on a high fence making evil noises at a seagull perched on the roof.
after a while the seagull flew off and came back with some mates, they went for her trapped her in a corner and gave her a right good pecking.
she ignores that specie now, but all the others are fair game.

21:1737785I remember a pet cat Topaz (short haired tortoiseshell) I owned in the past, she used to bring me her 'kills' in some cases still very much alive, for me to say 'good girl' then she would take them away and ravenously devour them. Once she gave me the shock of my life as I opened my tired eyes on Sunday morning staring into the terrified eyes of an enormous sewer rat with my cat looking happy as Larry whilst pinning it down on my pillow, I don't know who was more scared me or the rat
I love cats, they taste just like chicken
