11:059854Let us hope that Colette will be able to get over to Belguim in time to see Saskia take part in the event, I wonder how people stand with regard to lost expenses ie Hotels, coach fares, ferries etc.

18:519865Yes great event and Father Christmas arrives at Crabble Corn Mill at 2pm on Sunday, they always link it up with the light switch on.
A great Grotto and well worth a visit Kids and Adults alike. So get there in time to see the old man arrive in style.

22:529923And don't forget come and support the Clarendon & Westbury with their Xmas Fayre 10 until 1pm, we need to raise much needed funds for repairs etc to our centre, after visiting us you can wonder off into town and enjoy the fun of the switch on.

09:289984A very good day for Dover and the people who came down to enjoy the day.
Lots of helpers too - Jeanette and Terry from the London Road Community Forum worked hard all day, as did Town Council Councillors Ronnie Philpott, Sue Jones and the officers and other helpers I didn't know.
A bit of a drizzly morning, but later in the afternoon, the weather did improve and the switch-on a great success, very ably performed by our Mayor and Mr. Hess.
Well done everyone involved - a long day and a lot of hard work made it a success.
Good result on the football too.
Roger
