I'm not sure whether our representatives lack energy, vision or ability, but they are certainly lacking. I see nothing in Clare that suggests she's the answer.

The elephant in the room
Labour was in power for 13 years and nothing happened
If they had diverted all the money they spunked on the war and PFI and all the other big squandering they did ,
we could of regenerated our towns.
Miss Hawkins biggest qualification for the dover Labour party seems to be she's missing a p........Hampton

Maybe if we all stopped looking back and looked forward we might improve our prospects. Everyone can dig up an element of mismanagement at all gov/party levels but frankly it hinders progress.
Egos have a bad habit of creating hurdles, if you sit and talk most people want the same thing and ,if willing to compromise , things can change.

some very interesting comments here but the thing that strikes is that clair has written a very interesting piece but it is basically a wish list.
no mention of where the funding will come from to find extra police officers or litter pickers.
