St Alban's. 1
Dover. 0
Two Dover players sent off
St Alban's finished off nine man Dover who's just lost two players to suspensions now have two more
Lack of disipline not helping .
Only some poor finishing by. St Alban's was the score so low .
Dover still need a goal scorer .
Bringing brundle on whom iv never rated as a player did little to change anything .
Clubs in a dilemma.
It has no money
The present chair wants his £3m back before he will go (although there's some doubt he would even go then)
Who's going to buy a club that's failing ?
Paying £3m before even doing anything for the club?
Look at st Alban's yesterday .
Had the beer on sale and a friendly atmosphere
Had ball boys
At half time very young kids paraded in football kit
Day they will remember
Also at half time a disabled group did a half time dance .
A proper community spirited club .

Dartford. 2
Dover 1
In a very even first half, Dover matched high flying Dartford , and although Dover went 1-0 down early on they fought back to equalise .
It remained end to end and 1-1 at half time .
For some reason Dover ran out of steam the second half and decided to get all 11 players defending ,standing off the Dartford attackers, giving them plenty of time to size up the shots .
A fair bit of time wasting worked against Dover in the end who had settled for the point
Dartford a scoring late on to pick up the points.
Although Dovers season is a over its about who's going to sign next season, who will Dover keep,
And will Brundle make the moves on having a clear out?

Whites facing a cup final against Weymouth on Saturday. Don't lose and we probably stay up - lose and we're almost certainly down.

On current form can't see anything other than a defeat and another relegation.

Well, quite amazingly, we did lose, and we did stay up! Complete clear out required.

I know nothing of football but have just been reading about Wrexham being bought by some American thespians and apparently First Division (?) clubs being bought by Arabs is there any chance of Dover being bought out and how much would be it cost?
Is it a bit like buying newspapers years ago which was a money pit and then became (Fox, Murdoch etc) a licence to print money.

The club is theoretically up for sale, in so far as the Chairman has invited investment. Whether that amounts to a complete sale, not sure. Dover could represent a good prospect, debt free with a historically good fanbase. No idea what the asking price would be.

It has been rumoured on & off that Parmenter wants £3m for the club which is frankly ludicrous. In a slightly more sane world I would suggest that the club is worth somewhere around £5-600,000 though if they own rather than lease the ground that might bump it up to £1m at a push

I guess when you invest heavily into something and have put so much of your life into it, your own valuation becomes a little distorted. I don't think we own the ground, so any potential investor is buying a debt free place in the English football pyramid. That's not to be sniffed at.
