Another assistant manager leaves. This one citing the decline in his mental health since joining the club.
You couldn't make this stuff up.

Dover. 2
Torquay. 2
What was a surprize everyone had written Dover off and predicted a heavy loss .
.on the national League north and South i predicted
2-2(more in hope than belief lol )
I should do the lottery lol
Dover started badly with the young Dover defender scoring an own goal under no pressure .
Torquay scored again and dominated first half .
Second half Dover came out fighting and got back the two goals against title favourites
Although Dover need to sort out it's defence , today in the second half they fought like they believed , something not seen for some time .
Next Sat they are away to Slough
Im going

Slough 1
Dover 2
In an end to end first half that could have produced many goals , Dover went in at the break one nil up.
Over the half Dover looked to be the better side, with Slough reliant on break aways.
Dover keeper made some outstanding saves.
Slough in the second half came out in search of the equaliser and ,but for the Dover keeper could have had three or four , but it was only a matter of time before Slough equalised.
Once they made it 1-1 They soon after but the post and had a long spell of possession and looked threatening.
Again the Dover keeper kept Dover in the game.
With injury time put up as five minutes , Dover broke away to score a winner and out themselves in play off position .
Certainly a great performance , with few learning parts on marking , but all in all three points a lovely journey home .

Outplayed for most of the game by Tonbridge , giving away a goal that over six Dover players didn't clear , and Dover missing a dubious Penalty .
Dover lost 1-0 for the first time .
Although Dover battled they were no match for the experienced Tonbridge side .
Dover keeper made some outstanding saves throughout the game to keep the score at 1-0

Dover 1
Braintree 1
Outplayed in the main by a Braintree side who took the lead in the 6th minute after some poor defending .
Braintree could have had four or five more had it not been for the Dover keeper .
Dover did equalise through a pen after a Dover player was tripped in the area .
But throughout second half Dover looked second best, and not good on any Braintree set piece .
The manager in interview after game stated it's a work in progress , so we have to believe in him , that th errors will be learnt from, and not keep giving ball away

Worthing. 2
Today showed the difference between a side going for promotion (worthing) and a big gulf to Dover .
Dover were rarely in the game, again , but for the Dover keeper could have lost by a lot more.
Worthing a very good side, although once 1 up in sixth minute tended to waste time a lot, where I feel they easily secured the points and could have been even better.
In a press interview after game manager stated had 25 players signed on, a lot not on long term contract .
To bring in any new player will need to ship a few of the 25 out first.
I did predict an ending position of 19th end season anything higher a bonus .
Danger at the moment is we need to see four worse teams than Dover to avoid relegation !!
Slowly we are slipping down table again .

Another second best performance where e even the manager is saying it's time for the players to shape up or they won't be kept.
Dartford outplayed Dover for most of the 90 minutes and Dover had the keeper once again to thank for keeping the score down .
Dartford could even afford to miss a pen !
I predicted 19th place before start of season , but to many performances like yesterday will see Dover again involved in a relegation battle .

Mitch has to make a call on some of these players now - those not up to the level required should be released. Like you say, if we carry on like this, we'll be relegated.

Those not up to this level might be all (including the manager) bar the keeper.

Billy Terrell is obviously excellent, and one wonders if we might tap into Bournemouth again for some more talent! I see something I like in Sutherland too - has pace and movement, something to build on. I also like Charlie Naylor. The rest, remain to be convinced.
The good thing is that, as I understand it, Mitch has kept most of the squad on non contract terms, so we can move in and out fairly quickly. Hess would have given a one year contract, minimum.

24 outfield players is crazy.
Try to find one goalscorer and dump about 8 of the squad.
I would get Goodman back. He’s too good to be on loan at Sittingbourne, but I heard the club didn’t do itself any favours with its chances of retaining him.

Honestly, my chief complaint with Hess, we always seemed to go for quantity over quality. It's a dangerous road.

Better to make the decisions early , than be sucked into a relegation battle leaving it to late.
Chippenham are 8th so another battle.
Hess did have links to football league , but could rarely be seen in the line , encouraging which was a big fault .
Worrying if keeper gets injured who replaced him .
Budget is one of the smallest , so ship a few out to get some dosh and find a goal scorer.
I thought Goodman playing for Folkestone?

That's another concern I have, apart from Slough, the sides below us are all in false positions - Hampton, Havant and Eastbourne we can be sure will not be in a relegation fight come May. For Slough and ourselves, it is highly likley.

It's looking now to see are there four worse clubs than Dover to avoid relegation .
Sadly at this time I think not .
Brundle has said he's to make changes , shipping a few out soon .
Fighting relegation each season won't bring supporters back

Dover. 1
Cheltenham. 1
With two deflected goals deciding the outcome, it was the Chippenham keeper that kept the score down , together with Dover still unable to find a goal scorer.
In a game that Dover dominated for long periods and with better finishing could have won , a point puts Dover in the relegation bottom four .
Although early in the season , they must find a scorer soon.
The manager has shipped a few players out, and made it clear only 100% will do .
Dover had a lot of passion , but the final third was where they were lacking.
Next up Tuesday night away to St Albans

Dover looked like a relegation side , after defeat leaves them second to bottom.
Again Dover gave away an early goal and for the second the keep could be forgiven for letting the goal in under his arms after all his great saves to keep Dover in the game.
Dover players /manager can't be proud of this performance , which is fast becoming each week's explanation by the manager that it's his fault .
Whilst he's correct as he makes the selection there's a few players out there that should look at themselves .
St Albans not a great side and also up to today struggling fought for every ball, Dover easily beaten.
It's becoming like everyone wants to play Dover at this point!!!

Hastings will be Dovers opponents in the FA cup second qualifying round a week Saturday at crabble .
The Hastings number 8 and 10 are fast and I'm sure will give Dover problems
The number 9 also holds the ball up well
Could be another of those cup shocks
Although on Dovers recent performances most are not predicting a Dover win !
