keith is right on this one.
the ballot paper is a minefield for the unwary or politically innocent.
the voting system is a fair one inasmuch that every "x" counts, however there is no room for selecting a personal candidate.
out of all the bumf through the door i seem to remember just one name, that green lady.

I see Cammoron is having a little trouble coz a group of Tory grandees and former senior diplomats including Lord Patten and Lord Britton are tomorrow going to launch a devastating attack on his Eurosceptic policies, warning that they pose a threat to British influence in the European Union.
The timing is bad for him with the European elections coming up on Thursday and he stands accused of adopting a "rigid commitment to impotence" with the Tory toffs recking he's pledged to withdraw from the main centre-right grouping in the European parliament.

Not heard of that, most amusing Sid. Good, it will not do DC any harm at all to have some of the old Europhile yesterdays men attack him. Helps underline his Eurosceptisism as, sadly and wrongly, some of the old right accuse him of being soft on Europe. It does no harm to show the way things have changed in the Conservative Party.
The Conservative MPs after the next general election will produce the most anti-EU Parliament since accession and will form a Government that will seek significant changes to our relationship with the EU. That can only be good.

What I said about the Tory grandees was correct, didnt get much coverage coz of the expenses stories. Cammoron is touchy about Europe, he's threatened to expel Norman Tebbitt from the Tory party coz he's been telling voters to boycott them for the Euro elections.

WHEN THE GRAVY TRAIN STOPS, LOCAL AND EU, THEN I MAY START VOTING AGAIN.

that may be quite a while ian.
the papering over of the cracks will carry on, the guilty ones will get pensions worth up to a million quid.
some will get elevated to the house of lords, may be best voting for a minority untarnished party, just to let the creeps at the top know how you feel.
